The Intensive Outpatient Services Program (IOP) is offered through CARES, Inc. for children ages 2 to 6 and adolescents ages 12-17. The program is approved through Anthem Blue Cross and can only be accessed by a physician referral.
- Clinic based setting
- Includes:
- Psychological testing
- Parent training
- Child psychiatry assessment
- Functional Behavior Assessment or Analysis
- Ongoing treatment, including 9 hours of direct intervention per week plus psychiatric consultation and parent training
- Using Applied Behavior Analysis, the IOP addresses fine and gross motor skills, cognitive skills, communication and language, psychosocial and self-help skills in the younger children and provides cognitive-behavioral therapy and social skills training for the adolescents.
- The program is based on a six month model at which time an evaluation of the client's progress will determine the ongoing need for treatment.
